I was taken aback by that statement, too. What does it matter, male or female, if someone hasn’t married? Why can’t men who are single in their older years be a good catch? Circumstances for each individual are unique to them. For those who did not marry young, they may have had other things to do. It doesn’t mean they are not worthy people or a not a “top catch.” It is better to be alone than to be with someone who is not a good match.
